Barcelona : The new package

The new aerodynamic package works well !

I did only 17 laps during the last free practice this afternoon because we had a small problem with the rear brake at the beginning of the session. However, with the session we had this morning, I can say that I am rather happy with the overall performance of the car. The team worked hard these last few weeks, and from now on we have a new aerodynamic package. So far, everything seems to perform well and we are satisfied. Tonight, with the engineers, we are going to analyse all the data from the day. Our target is to optimize the latest evolutions as soon as possible, in a way to use the maximum of the car’s potential. All the others teams are going better and better, race after race, and we must be careful not losing time. Regarding the qualifying tomorrow, it’s always difficult to have a clear view in advance, but if we compare our results to the one of the others teams like BMW, Ferrari or McLaren, we are not so far from them. We have to wait the free practice session tomorrow morning. The teams will then run with low fuel loads and we will see the true hierarchy.
