Deception in Monte Carlo

Deception in Monte Carlo

I was forced to leave after my clash with Nelsinho Piquet. On lap 11, I just tried to overtake him at Ste Devote, but he went early on the brakes, and I could not get out from behind him. The front of my car went into his rear wing, and from that time my race was off. It's a shame because I was in a good shape. We had a good strategy and I think we would have been able to finish in the top 10, and even probably to score points. A positive side is that the car had the potential to be faster and we are now closer from the others top teams in terms of performance. We did a good job in qualifying with an 11th and 14th position, so the package is much better than in Barcelona, and I am very confident for the future. Accidents are part of the race, so from now on I prefer think about the next race in Turkey.
