A season with highs and lows

The 2008 GP2 Main Series championship wasn't easy at all for Sébastien, who had to cope with a very difficult car – as shown by his team-mates, who were unable to score any significant result. Despite these harsh conditions, Sébastien managed to score two wins, in France and Hungary, which allows him to end up the championship in the sixth position.
During that season, Sébastien is the author of a genuine performance, which underlines his talent and probably helped to propell him into Formula One with Toro Rosso : at Magny-Cours, on Sunday morning, for the sprint race, Sébastien is 21st on the grid. Despite the rain, he bets on slick tyres on a circuit where overtaking is very limited. After quite a driving show, he ends up winning the race, after having passed all his rivals who were not off track…
He is the only GP2 2008 driver to go into Formula One in 2009.
