6 Hours of Nürburgring

« We have done our very best »

Before heading to the Nürburgring, we knew that would be a difficult race for our car. We qualified 5th and 6th, and we finished the race 5th and 6th, thus exactly what we were expecting.

That said, I am however satisfied, because everything went as well as possible. At the operational level, we had a perfect, faultless week-end.

On top of that, the atmosphere was really nice. The grandstands were full of fans, and it was 28 degrees Celsius on the Nürburgring for the first time of my life!

At Toyota, we are already fully focused on 2016. We will have a new engine, a new chassis, and a new hybrid technology. Our strategy is therefore to end 2015 as well as we possibly can, and to take advantage of any opportunity, be it the weather or other team’s mistakes. But of course, if they do not make mistakes, the end of the season will be very hard for us.
