A first podium in Formula E

That was quite a very special day at Putrajaya ! To start with, we faced a technical issue with my suspension during the qualifying session. They lost strength and the car became very difficult to drive which made me loose a lot of time in the qualifying. This was also the first time we had to race on such a bumpy track which put an extra stress on the suspensions.

On top of that, we faced a little communication problem within the team which induced my car to be under the specified weight limit. I had therefore to start from the last position of the grid. On a street circuit, you can figure out how hard it is to overtake. But I was in a « maximum attack » mode and I finished third.

Considering the circumstances, I am more than happy. It is my very first podium finish in Formula E, and it is a good result for the whole team if one thinks about the day’s very bad start.

I have to thank very much the team for having put a huge effort to repair my car after the problem we had during qualifying. I am now seventh in the championship, which is not bad at all.

Now, I am looking forward to racing in Punta del Este, the next round, where I hope to have, at last, a trouble-free race.
