I am very proud to announce that I have been appointed Formula E ambassador by Julius Bär. Based in Zurich, bank Julius Bär was amongst the very first Formula E partners, a championship that perfectly matches the corporate values of Julius Bär and its Next Generation philosophy. As a Swiss driver, I am obviously honoured to represent a Swiss company, and I am as well looking forward to racing in Zurich, on June 10th, where Julius Bär’s headquarter is located. That will be a historical landmark, as no motor-race has been held in Switzerland for more than 60 years. That day, I will be proud to wear the Swiss national flag and to represent as well as I can the Julius Bär colours.
I am proud to confirm that ABB, the title partner of the Formula E Championship has selected me to be their driver ambassador.Based in Zurich, ABB is a pioneering technology leader in the fourth industrial revolution where it serves customers in utilities, industry and transport and infrastructure globally. ABB’s partnership with Formula E reflects the entire e-mobility value chain – from renewable energy and sustainable power generation, to smart transmission and distribution networks, to cloud-connected, fast-charging stations and other e-mobility access points such as smart buildings, smart factories and even smart cities. As a Swiss driver, I am obviously honoured to represent such a prestigious Swiss company, and naturally I am looking forward to racing in the Zurich ePrix, on June 10th. That will be a historic event, as no motor-race has been held in Switzerland for more than 60 years. That day, I will be proud to wear the Swiss national flag and to represent the famous three red letters of ABB.
It’s more than ten years now that I have been under contract to Red Bull, having signed with them in April 2004. This company has supported me throughout my career in F3, GP2 and F1. Today, Red Bull continues to support me, most obviously on my helmet for the Le Mans 24 Hours, as well as the entire WEC championship.
I have been working with Toyota for three years. I race in all rounds of the WEC – we took three consecutive wins from the end of 2013 to the start of 2014. I have something of a special relationship with this manufacturer, as my grandfather has been a Toyota dealer since the start of the Seventies. Ever since I was a child I grew up surrounded by Toyotas.
In addition to competing in the World endurance championship with Toyota and his role as the third driver with the Red Bull Racing team, Sébastien signed with the Renault E-Dams team to compete in the 2014-2015 season of the all-new Formula E FIA championship , the famous 100% electric single-seaters championship.
Warson Motors is a marque particularly close to my heart, as it was developed by my uncle, with a “vintage’ flavour, based around cars and aviation from the Fifties. I always like wearing these quality garments, as I appreciate the design and the materials.
Mood is a very innovative Swiss Ring brand which allows to change according to its desires its color and its materials. I fell under the spell of the concept and I am very happy to start this partnership with Mood. We share the same values and I look forward to wearing the ring on and off the track.
Motorex has been my partner since my very first days in formula BMW in 2004. I have been working together with the Langenthal based Oil company since more than 14 years. I am very thankful for the help Motorex gave to many Swiss drivers since more than 15 years. On top of that Motorex is the official Oil partner of my family dealership and every car is equipped with Motorex material. It is always a pleasure to represent a Swiss company in Motorsport.
